dylusional love

When we think of color, we think Dyan Revealy and Dylusions!!! When her Ink Sprays were introduced at CHA Winter we couldn’t wait to get our hands on them…they are bright and vibrant sprays that are super fun to play with…

Along with the sprays, Dyan has fabulous stamps and stencils…truly something for everyone!

Some of our amazing Inspiration Team designers have been seriously ROCKING Dylusions…here are some examples of their inspiring work…

Up first, is Pam Hooten…we love how Pam has embraced the Dylusion lines, her work is absolutely inpsired!

Up next, is Linda Cain and her colorful projects…

These two pages in Linda’s art journal are breathtaking! The way she combines all the different stencils and layers are awesome!

Finally, we have Sherry Goodloe and her incredible art…

These pages are just all Sherry…colorful, thoughtful, and fabulous…

Thank you girls for sharing your great art…if Dyan has taught us anything through her art and new Dylusions lines, it’s to be yourself, do what you love, have fun, and there are no mistakes!!!

Canvas Tutorial

Today we have the super inspiring mixed media artist Sherry Goodloe of our Inspiration Team here to share a few tips on how she created this fabulous canvas:

I created this 8″ x 10″ canvas collage by starting with a decorative napkin . . .

Once I separated the 3 layers of the napkin, I used the top layer to create a background using Claudine Hellmuth’s multi medium to glue the napkin pieces to the canvas . . .

I finished the edges of the canvas with pieces of the napkin as well . . .

Textured decorative papers were used to create the girl’s dress . . .

Other items used to decorate the background and the Banner Day girl are as follows:

Tim Holtz Creative Textures stamps

Tim Holtz Collection – Fancy Flourish stamps

Various other random rubber stamps
Hero Arts – Friendly Flags for the banner Tim Holtz Distress Stain – Wild Honey (LOVE the new Distress Stains!)

Archival Ink Jet Black by Ranger
Vintage ledger book pages
Bubble wrap paper to apply the paints
Foreign newspaper
Claudine Hellmuth Studio Paint – Dash of Red
Perfect Pearls Mists – Perfect Pearl

Thank you Sherry for the glimpse into your creative process!!
