Gettin’ Our Shrink On

Hi There! We have a treat for you today!!!

We gave our fabulous Inspiration Team a Designer’s Challenge for the summer.  We asked them to play with Inkssentials Surfaces Shrink Plastic!!

We have been in awe of the fabulous projects that they have been submitting…and several didn’t stop at one project!!! Once they got to playing, they kept going! So we are going to post several of the projects today and a few more next Monday!!

Ready to be inspired?? Get those Heat Tools and Melting Pots ready…you are going to want to play too!!!

First up, is this GORGEOUS necklace from Richele Christensen…colored perfectly with alcohol ink, it is so darling in the center of the Ornate Plate…every detail is just fantastic!

Kelly Booth created this adorable set of thank you cards with this sweet embellishment on the cover of the card box…what a perfect thank you gift for her Realtor!!  The Shrink Plastic houses are just so cute, they really tie it all together and make it a super special gift!

This sweet little project by Linda Cain combines lovely vintage touches with art journaling touches…they come together perfectly! And the Shrink Plastic is perfect; Linda coated it in gesso before she stamped the images, shrunk them, and colored them with markers…perfectly done and adorable.

Oh, so spooky…Shelly Hickox played with the UTEE and Melting Pot technique on this spookified charm…it’s a fun way to shrink your Shrink Plastic and give it a cool layer of UTEE at the same time.  The Idea-ology Mirrored is the perfect background for this *almost* creepy charm!

This card from Alice Wertz is so elegant and classy…every detail is the perfect touch to highlight the perfect form that she shrunk…just breathtakingly beautiful.

Right? Take a moment…take them in.  Oh yes, Jim Hankins sure did.  He really did make the perfect cuff links…oh yes, he did!!! Seriously cool…and when we say seriously, we mean S.E.R.I.O.U.S.L.Y.  Take a moment, we know you need it.

Can you stand it…how fabulous are these projects? Do our designers ROCK or what???!!!!  This colorful beauty is from Pam Hooten.  We are just in love with this wonderful piece…the little touches just all come together to complete the fun vintage look. Take it all in.

How cool are these flowers?? We know, we gush…but rightfully so!!!! Stephanie Ackerman created these cool grungy flowers; the cracks and chippiness are just so cool…a perfect embellishment!!!

Oh.Em.Gee.  Are you as inspired as we are??? What a wonderful bunch of projects to feed that creative soul!!!!  So many different styles and possibilities, which one are you going to try first???

And, can you imagine, we have a few more to share next week?  We hope we have peaked your curiosity, ignited your artful mind, and jump started your mojo…go play with some Shrink Plastic!!!!
