Sweet 16

Hello Family,

It’s been an amazing month!  Birthdays and celebrations galore!  This month has been dubbed March Madness for a reason.

This week, in the official March Madness NCAA basketball tournament, the ‘Sweet 16’ teams were vying for the National Championship.

Also this week, our family celebrated a Sweet 16 of our own.  My son, Joy’s nephew, Anthoni’s brother “Bryan” turned 16 and is now of legal driving age.

Bryan16_800

I remember so vividly getting my driver’s license and the freedom I felt as I drove around town on my own.  The feeling of maturity and independence struck me as I sat at a stop light, sitting there in the car all by my lonesome.  It was so difficult for me to believe that I no longer had to be chaperoned to each individual engagement I had to attend.  I was old enough, responsible enough, and free enough to get there on my own.  There are simply certain milestones in life that you will never forget, and that feeling of accomplishment… I will always remember.

BUT- watch out SoCal, we have a new driver coming towards you! Now… you all have been warned!

To the Sweet 16… everyone can now celebrate.  Please take an additional 16% off of your entire purchase through Friday, April 4.  Please enter “sweet16” during checkout.

Monthly Challenge

Happy March to everyone and I hope yours all came in like a lion so that we can get Spring on its way.   Before I announce this months challenge I first want to sincerely thank everyone that took part in last month’s challenge of ‘Say it with Words’.  There is some serious inspiration in every project submitted so thank you for sharing them with us and everyone reading.  Secondly, I want to announce the winner selected randomly from all the projects submitted which is #28 Claudia – Von Pappe II.  A big congratulations to Claudia!!  Please contact to me at heather@inspirationemporium.com and I can make arrangements with you for your prize.

Getting back to the spring idea, I think that this month’s challenge might also help to welcome it.  When thinking about Spring, I can’t help but think of life and new and what comes with this is Color.  Fresh green grass, bright yellow daffodils popping through the ground, and everything bright, vibrant and full of life.  This month’s challenge is A Splash of Color so this can incorporate anything colorful…paper, ink, paints, glitter, sprays, embellishments, you name it!   If it has color it is game!  Our very own Joy Kennedy created some tags that are a perfect kickoff for this month’s challenge…
